1610: AV 9000 Audio Kit is used to obtain compatibility between Beosystem AV9000 and products without Master Link connection.
Two versions: An early 2 ML version does not need an extra power as it gets power from the AV9000. Does only work with AV9000.
A later version with only 1 ML socket like the 1614/1615.
AV9000 audio kit has the same software as 1614 converter, there are a few more components on the PCB to handle two way Infrared.

Regarding the use of 1610 and AV9000;
only with first version (two-way) AV9000.

The AV9000B4 and AV9000IT use converter 1611/1614.
